Things I learned in Term 2

In term 2, we did:
The first thing we did on Term 2, is making a photo essay. It was hard to think of a topic, because most of the ideas I got were already taken so I just thought that maybe I should choose something I really know about; so I chose art. Then, we did the Andy Warhol with the Photoshop. It was fun making it because we could pose wacky poses then edit the colors to make it more lively.

Lizley's Sargent Park Video Reflection

Sargent Park Video Reflection

I think the hard part we did in doing this is taking the pictures and videos. And I guess for me is to think of ideas in the first place. Because the good ideas were already taken and the ones I thought of requires a lot of time and may be nearly impossible to do with the programs we should use. And it took us some time get photos and videos to finish because we have to take those on certain times. Like when we have to take videos on 3:25-3:35 so we could record kids leaving school. So I missed my bus that day (that's the pain =T). I feel funny though in taking photos because I felt like a cameraman from a news channel.

Then, we're gonna think of what class is the next class we should take photos of. Because some groups might have been to that class already. And then pile them all up on a folder, view them one at a time, then decide which ones are gonna be used and then edit stuff. And also in the video editing process, there's a lot of people in our class and jobs are just few.

Lizley's Photo Essay

Art is all about expression and experience. It is how you interpret your feelings and expression. It is how you deliver your experience of feelings to other people.

Artists have different views of art and express their thoughts and feelings. They do abstract or realistic but what matter is the message. It could be joy, beauty, mystery and darkness or some scene meaningful to you or you think is meaningful.

It doesn't really matter how much brushes you have and how good are they.

And how old or new your brushes are

Nor how many good paints you use.

It doesn't matter how good your hand could draw. Or how beautiful your artwork is.

But the way you express it.

And the reason why you use it.

And to fill your world with colors.

You don't have to wait for somebody to teach you. Inspirations come by to you everyday. So measure your limits and find out what you can do.

The time is running but it's never too late to share your thoughts

And to find inspiration.

Lizley's Remembrance Day Reflection

This photo is phtotshoppdd by me. It's a collaboration of the photos I like. I chose the picture with the soldiers because it show the soldiers' real feelings with war. The seem tough to our sight but in reality, they're also people like us, who have feelings. And also I put the photo with a crowd of people because it shows the people the soldiers are dying for. And then, I used the poppies on the background.

Steps:

  1. I made a presentation in Google Drive then shared it with my group members.
  2. We copied then paste the poem to our Google Drive then divided the poem into four for each of us.
  3. We looked for images for our stanzas.
  4. We pasted the images on our slide and pasted the links on the Image Citations slide.
  5. We added some typography on our slides but those were not included in making the video.
  6. We put the images to iMovie.
  7. Then we added audio.

What I learned in iMovie
  • There is an effect called Ken Burns
  • How to add audio
  • How to add photos
  • You can add effects
