Alieha's Photo Essay

Living in Winterpeg, Manisnowba.

Ever since I was young, I hated winter.

The snow in your boots,

the snow stuck on your mittens,

and having to wear 100lbs of winter gear everyday,
while your cheeks turned red.

The whole city moves faster because it wants to avoid the cold.

Creatures who hide up in the trees, hibernate.

All the little plants, frozen.

Although, some winter days look beautiful.

The sun is out and all the snow on the ground makes
you feel like you're walking on clouds.

Water turns into ice, and becomes a skating rink.

But best of all, it's Christmas time.

Lights brighten up the night,

and even if the weather is below zero, or there is a blizzard,
you can always make it better with a hot chocolate.

  2. I really liked how your photo essay actually told a story. It was very interesting to read, and the pictures that you had taken are remarkable. The picture of the tree is shot at a really great angle, and I love how you captured the look of the rugged bark.
